I am an intercalating medical student at the University of Lancashire, currently undertaking an MRes in Medical Science with a focus on molecular diagnostics and translational research. My work centres on the development of rapid diagnostic technologies using loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP), supported by funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD). I have also gained experience in research through internships and research collaborations. Alongside research, I am actively involved in medical education and student leadership, contributing to teaching initiatives and collaborative projects. I am particularly interested in dermatology, academic medicine, and medical education. Originally from Thailand, I have developed my academic and clinical training in the UK.
Contributing to medical education initiatives and academic activities within a faculty-supported education research group. • Participated in Clinical Teaching Fellow interview panels, contributing structured feedback to inform recruitment decisions • Supported the delivery of the ASME Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) Conference 2026, a national medical education event
Contributing to the strategic development of a formal inter-university research collaboration between the University of Lancashire and Edge Hill University, supported by the Integrated Clinical Academic Training Offices at both institutions. • Supported the planning and coordination of cross-institutional research initiatives and events • Delivered talks on summer internships and intercalation opportunities to support student engagement in research
Undertook over one year of laboratory involvement during term time, subsequently progressing to funded research as part of an intercalated MRes focused on the development of loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assays for rapid molecular detection. Awarded: funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD)
