In school I was thrilled by the bestseller ”In the beginning there was hydrogen“, as a student I joined a political party in order to promote hydrogen from solar power in the Sahara after the Chernobyl shock. As a Member of the European Parliament I helped to lay the foundation for the technology platform Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking. Today, I am the CEO of the industry association Hydrogen Europe and work for the energy transition, which is only to be achieved with an energy vector serving as a game changer: hydrogen technologies.
