Working on a biomechanical research project investigating the effect of a medical device on the lower back. Included motion capture and EMG data collection and analysis. With the research team I was responsible for designing the protocol, gaining ethical approval, completing all documents needed for CE marking of the device and conducting the investigation. In addition to this main project I provided support on several biomechanical testing sessions for the different prosthetic departments in the company.
Wide ranging responsibilities including event organisation, advertising, internal marketing and market intelligence. Experienced marketing to both healthcare professionals and the end user, planning and executing events in different environments for different audiences. Provided copywriting for the company website, giving information on the products available and more general injury information. Market research project looking at the MARCOM output of main competitors and analysing our place in the market, how companies appear to promote themselves and how this may impact our direction. Competitor analyses for specific products and the feasibility to begin sales in new markets. Internal marketing included education for the members of the team on scientific research papers and how to critically analyse them to help promote the company's products.
Initially responsible for receiving customer call and processing orders, plus maintaining customer accounts in one of the sales regions. Took on responsibility for logging and monitoring product complaints, this allowed me to see the process of feedback and improvement that is fed into the products. Maintained online catalogues for an ordering system used by many customers.
