Responsible for the serological unit, including 3 academic and 20 technicians. The laboratory detects antibodies against a broad selection of bacterial and viral infections in humans and animals by means of different techniques (ELISA, Luminex, complement assays, immunofluorescence, and immunoblot). Including research and development within the serology area.
Major fields of interest: Laboratory management, bacterial and viral serology (including ELISA, Luminex, complement assay, immunofluorescence, immunoblot), autoimmunity, and protein chemistry.
Research and development in the area protein chemistry and plasma products.
