As a dedicated A-level student and emerging leader in youth policy and social change, I am passionate about creating opportunities for young people and driving meaningful impact in my community and beyond. I currently serve as Youth Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Justice, where I contribute to the development of policies that support and empower young people across the UK. Alongside this, I am proud to act as an Ambassador for the Holocaust Educational Trust, raising awareness of the Holocaust and promoting the vital lessons of remembrance, tolerance, and anti-prejudice. I also serve as an Ambassador for End Child Poverty, advocating for policies and initiatives that tackle child poverty and ensure every young person has a fair start in life. In my local community, I work as a Service Colleague at Asda while serving as Homestead Club Supervisor at my school. In this role, I support younger students in the secondary department with their homework, helping them build confidence, develop study skills, and achieve their potential. Previously, I represented young voices as a West of England Combined Authority Ambassador, engaging with regional leaders on issues affecting youth and local communities. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to youth empowerment, education, social justice, and community service. I am driven by the belief that young people should not only have a voice but also real influence in shaping the policies and society that affect them. I’m always keen to connect with professionals, organisations, and fellow advocates working in youth policy, education, social impact, or Holocaust education. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss collaboration, share insights, or explore how we can work together for positive change. • Delivered exceptional customer service since joining in August 2025, consistently greeting shoppers, answering general queries, assisting with product locations, and resolving non-restricted issues to create a positive and memorable shopping experience; successfully passed my three-month probation with no hiccups or incidents raising management concerns. • Replenished shelves and maintained high store standards by stocking products, organizing displays, facing up aisles, and ensuring sections were tidy, clean, and fully stocked. • Supported online and home shopping operations by accurately and efficiently picking and preparing customer orders, selecting high-quality items to meet deadlines and exceed customer expectations. • Assisted in food counter areas (pizza counter) by preparing and serving food items, upholding strict hygiene standards, and contributing to a welcoming customer environment (with no involvement in age-restricted sales). • Collected and organized shopping trolleys from the car park, performed general store maintenance tasks, and supported health & safety protocols by keeping walkways clear and promptly reporting any issues. • Collaborated effectively with team members in a fast-paced retail environment, adapting to a wide range of tasks and flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends) to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
• Currently serving as an Ambassador and Policy Advocate and Advisor for the End Child Poverty Coalition—a UK-wide alliance of over 130 charities, faith groups, trade unions, and social justice organisations—advocating for evidence-based policies and systemic reforms to eradicate child poverty, which affects more than 4.5 million children across the UK. • Maintaining regular contact with senior officials at the Department for Work and Pensions to discuss progress on child poverty reduction, provide input on strategy development, and press for ambitious policy actions. • Providing expert policy advice and recommendations to coalition partners, stakeholders, and decision-makers, including proposals for the introduction of a tiered benefit system designed to target support towards low-income households and disadvantaged areas, thereby enabling families to escape poverty through more precise and effective resource allocation. • Advocating for limitations on mix-and-match and multi-buy promotions on alcohol products, aimed at reducing the incentive for bulk purchases in a single transaction, thereby curbing excessive consumption, alleviating financial pressures on low-income households, and freeing up resources to generate additional disposable income for essential family needs. • Contributing to the development of fair and inclusive benefit assessment frameworks by advocating for the combination of incomes from non-married parents and cohabiting partners, ensuring equitable treatment and preventing disparities in support eligibility. • Engaging directly with politicians, Members of Parliament, and key stakeholders at high-profile events, including parliamentary sessions, to urge urgent policy reforms, such as the abolition of the two-child limit and comprehensive measures to address the cost-of-living crisis. • Collaborating with fellow Ambassadors to co-design and deliver impactful campaigns
As a Youth Policy Advisor at the Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom, I was dedicated to shaping a fairer, more child-centered youth justice system that prioritised the rights, welfare, and rehabilitation of young people. I worked closely with the Youth Advisory Team and the wider Youth Justice Department within the Ministry, collaborating on policy development, stakeholder engagement, and initiatives that embedded best practices and evidence-based approaches across the system. A key highlight of my work was contributing to the development and launch of the Youth Justice Charter in 2025. This landmark document, published by the Ministry of Justice, clearly outlined the rights and standards that children and young people (aged 10–17) could expect at every stage of the youth justice process—from initial police contact through to courts, community interventions, custody, and resettlement. By working hand-in-hand with youth voices, experts, and partners, we created an accessible resource designed to empower young people and promote transparency and accountability. I continued to advance fair and progressive youth justice policy in the UK, championing reforms that reduced disproportionality, supported diversion, and focused on positive outcomes for children, victims, and communities alike. My passion lay in ensuring that every young person understood their rights and the rules that governed the justice system when they came into contact with it. Knowledge was power—by making those rights clear and accessible, we helped build trust, reduce reoffending, and create a system that truly saw children as children first.
