Freelance sensitivity reader with a queer remit across children's / adult fiction, both literary and commercial. As commissioning editor, I focused on building my own YA and Crossover list, successfully commissioning and publishing titles for Macmillan's First Ink imprint in the key areas of romantasy, fantasy, dark academia, romance and more. Authors included: Ayana Gray, Annabelle Cormack, Sarah Beth Durst, Julia Alexandra, Harry Trevaldwyn, Aiden Thomas, to name but a few!
I acquired and published new authors for the list including: Carnegie shortlisted graphic novel creator Theo Parish, actor and writer Harry Trevaldwyn, as well as NYT-bestselling author Aiden Thomas, Mason Deaver, Kara Thomas, Sher Lee and more. I worked with multiple MG authors as project editor, including Hilary McKay, Anna Fargher, Radiya Hafiza, Lola Morayo, Sangu Mandanna, as well as the multi-million copy bestselling middle-grade brand Treehouse series by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton, and their new series, Adventures Unlimited. I also edited and project managed key titles from acquisition through to final files alongside my senior colleagues, examples being: YA & crossover titles by New York Times-bestselling author Casey McQuiston, Rainbow Rowell, Dustin Thao, Alexene Farol Follmuth (Olivie Blake) and more.
