The project aims to strengthen the scientific foundation of daily public health practice in infectious disease control by identifying key knowledge gaps and research priorities. ๐๐๐๐; ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ (๐๐๐๐): The Dutch postgraduate training in Public Health Medicine (โMaatschappij + Gezondheidโ) prepares physicians for leading roles in preventive medicine, infectious disease control, environmental health, youth health care, and public health policy. The program combines academic education, practical training at Public Health Services such as the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) .

The residency programme infectious disease control is coordinated by the Netherlands School of Public and Occupational Health (NSPOH). The programme consists of employment in daily practice at an infectious disease control department and theoretical courses about the practice and strategy of outbreak control, microbiology, sexual health, travel medicine, risk management and communication.
