I am an expert multi-asset class portfolio manager with a breadth of investment knowledge, training, and top-notch technical skill, the personal attributes ideally suited for navigating volatility, and the soft skills to handle with care, the most complex client relationships and help steward success in any team environment. The perfection of a portfolio begins with mean-variance analytics, elevates with the customization geared towards specific risk tolerance, and reaches a pinnacle when personal attributes and preferences become clear elements of design. I look at risk in a complete fashion, seeing imperfections of measures and flaws in data. I strive to combine assets that provide true diversification and produce optimal portfolios. As a perfectionist of my craft, I must go farther though, determining how the assets performed during times of market stress and looking forward to identifying the source(s) of future market volatility. An important aspect of customization is the alignment of investments with values and/or preferences. This could be as complex as having ESG investments intertwined throughout the portfolio or as simple as a desire to have a meaningful allocation to artificial intelligence. When a client’s portfolio reflects their self, I feel I have done my job with precision. My colleagues have often spoken of me as having a calm demeanor, a soothing presence, being well composed, and immune to showing signs of stress. Attributes like these allow me to work with individuals of a wide variety of personalities and temperaments. In a sense, I have always attempted to mirror the room, displaying a sense of likeness, but also clear, high-level competency. These personal qualities also allow me to be cool in the face of market volatility, never acting is if I know more than I do, but drawing on my experience and knowledge of market history, to convey a reassuring message and hold a commanding presence. Bringing together technical know-how, comprehensive knowledge, and my constitutional makeup, have allowed me to excel in several aspects of the workplace including relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, client prospecting, and overall business development. I have become a specialist in navigating complex family dynamics and designing elaborate multi-generational wealth portfolios. Partnering with experts in their respective disciplines to provide holistic advice, I am perfectly comfortable as a leader or follower, depending on client need or focus.
