About

I am President and Founder of CTR Consulting LLC, based in Oakland CA. We provide experienced speakers, seminars, and Equity/Diversity focused Workshops for small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs). It is our mission to enhance the values that equity based organizations promote and practice in their pursuit of social justice. Our mission is dedicated to promoting social inclusion, workforce diversity, and minority advancement through the awareness and resolution of the implicit and unconscious biases that exist within companies accepted cultures, values and practices. As a native of Oakland and a Concerned Community Leader, I am closely involved in grassroots organizing dedicated to promoting social justice based on equity and inclusiveness. One of my committed causes is the resolution of the "Discriminatory Displacement Practices" that has drastically increased the minority homeless populations of Oakland and the Greater Bay Area.

  • President and Founder at CTR Consulting LLC
    Jan 2017 - Present · 9 yrs 6 mos

CTR Consulting LLC provides experienced speakers and associated workshops for small to medium sized enterprises seeking to better define, harmonize or simply establish their organizational values. Our focus is on enhancing social inclusion and workforce diversity, by helping entities identify the unconscious and implicit biases that exist within some companies culture, values and behaviors. These factors are particularly critical in startup and high-tech environments. Cultural awareness and inclusion are essential factors for success in this highly competitive labor market comprised of Millennial's and post-Millennial's. Effectively addressing these issues in small and medium sized enterprises is key to successful company growth, value creation and ongoing access to a diverse talent pool.

The Emerald New Deal is an Oakland initiative to dedicate 100% of our City's Cannabis Business Tax to the individuals, families, and neighborhoods that suffered most under the War on Drugs. It is now widely recognized that the 'war on drugs' and particularly charges related to recreational use of cannabis resulted in excessive incarcerations of youth and disproportionately impacted communities of color and lower income neighborhoods. As Campaign Organizer I am accountable for the community outreach and awareness of the current status of the program and to ensure that the communities needs and the past consequences of excessive incarceration are remedied and mitigated through programs which serve those directly and indirectly impacted.

As Outreach co-ordinatoror I was accountable for ensuring that the funds collected form the community under the 2016b sugar tax were identified, earmarked, and assigned to projects reflecting the needs of the impacted communities.
