Transition from data to information and preservation of data for future use
* Chair the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange and Joint World Meteorological Organization−Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology Steering Committee on the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP). * Manage NODC’s GTSPP and Argo Programs. * Represent the NOAA National Oceanographic Data Center on technical and other marine date-related issues at the International Argo data management team and Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Program committee meetings, conferences, and planning sessions. * Coordinate the international exchange of oceanographic data and to the extent possible, influence the degree of collaboration with the international scientific community. * Perform directed research to improve the data and information of NODC
* Developed a near real-time ocean descriptive and predictive system with applications to the continental shelf and slope regions. * Validated numerical model results with observations. * Processed, quality assurance and quality control, and analyze oceanographic data * Published research results in a referred journal. * Wrote research proposals.
