I have been working in the "private" sector for about 5 years. Prior to this I was a police officer/detective for a municipality in South Florida. Once I received my degree, I realized I was more valuable in the safer, private world. I have held positions in the technology field including support/design of mortgage software and management of a customer support department. Most recently, I have been given the task of managing a Windows 2000 Server network and all of it's related components. I have been doing this for over a year and really enjoy the challenge. I would like to obtain my MCSE in the near future and become a recognized asset of a progressive company.
Duties include management of Windows 2000 Server network, PC maintenance - software installation, hardware troubleshooting and installation, procurement of equipment, project management, contractor hiring, interaction with upper-level management, print coordination (including installation of network printers via print server), etc. Technologies currently used are Exchange Server 2003; Backup Exec; SQL Server 2000; Watchguard Firebox (Firewall; VPN), etc.
