I am currently a rising junior studying Electrical Engineering at the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering at San Jose State University. I am a high energy individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who is extremely passionate and motivated about engineering. I am always looking forward to learning more about how engineering improves the lives of people and helps solve complex problems in the world.
Make sure guests are safe at South Bay Shores Water Park. Monitor and enforce water park rules and regulations. Test equipment prior to opening the ride and perform "first" ride on the slides to ensure proper operation. Swim and guard attractions that are at least 5 ft of water. Recognize guests in distress and provide necessary aid. Observe and assist with loading and unloading of guests safely in and out of rides. Also, worked nights assisting with the park operations of Carnivale at Orleans Place - a larger than life New Orleans Mardi Gras festival on weekend dates from July 12 - August 4, 2024. I helped with the decorated floats at night during the parade until 2 am after working afternoons at the pool.
Sophomore year served as a mentor and advisor for 40 first year students, while enforcing Campus Living policies. Worked with other resident assistants to develop a successful hall community. Utilized organizational and public speaking skills to create and present hall programs to educate residents about critical issues. Developed meditation and conflict resolution skills. Budget and allocate money used for residence hall and floor events. At the end of the year, I was voted "The Energizer Award" by my peers for bringing boundless energy and enthusiasm to my role as a Resident Advisor.
Operated ski lifts at Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort during Winter and Spring breaks during freshman and sophomore year of college. I worked with a team of people to set up ropes and ramps at 7:30 am before the resort opened at 9:00 am and removed everything before the resort closed each day. Made sure guests were safe getting on and off the lifts.
Worked year round through summer 2021 prior to senior year of high school, fall Halloween Haunt 2021, Winterfest 2021, Spring and Summer 2022. Responsible for enforcing all rules and regulations while creating a safe guest experience. Helped maintain safety of coasters reporting to maintenance department. Commuted 30 minutes by Caltrain and three miles by electric skateboard each way to my job. CPR certified.
Parking attendant drive through COVID-19 booster vaccination clinic. Helped process thousands of vaccines per day. Assisted in cleaning and sorting extra PPE for shipment to non-profit organizations.
