A second generation auctioneer and valuer covering the South and West Wales regions for Rogers Jones Auctioneers. I am a generalist valuer with specialist interest in diamonds, wines, whisky and spirits, silver, ceramics and comics. I am a previous committee member for the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) promoting professionalism and high standards in our industry. I am also a previous consultant for NAVA, training new auctioneers in becoming qualified, skilled professionals.
My primary task is sourcing and cataloguing antique jewellery, premium watches, fine art and all manner of collectables for our comprehensive calendar of auctions. I conduct all auctions at our Cardiff saleroom as well as occasionally in our Colwyn Bay saleroom. I also carry out regional valuation days across all of South & Mid-Wales whilst carrying out home visits across those regions.
Involved in the acceptance, examination, research, marketing and selling of Antiques, Fine Art & Collectables. I primarily value ceramics, silver, fine wine, whisky & spirits, and also comics. A large part of the role includes carrying out house visits and preparing valuations for auction, insurance, probate & inheritance tax, and family division. As the Saleroom Manager I am also responsible for the day to day running of the saleroom, carrying out valuation days and ensuring our customer service is at the top of all my colleagues agenda.
