Canada
I completed my year long French course earlier than expected with the desired result attaining my B B B profile. I am now posted to 3 Canadian Division in Edmonton Alberta filling the role of G4 Mov 2 which encompasses all the territory from BC to Manitoba. I am responsible for all the Traffic Tech's and Postal Clerks as their trade advisor, as a conduit between the Career Manager in Ottawa and the members and their chain of command within their units. I am also responsible for all materials and equipment and troop movements within the Division along with the chartering of all rotary and fixed wing aircraft in support of CAF inclusive of Canadian Ranger required missions and exercises. I am looking forward to my new responsibilities and am eager to belong to a unit once again to participate in sporting events.
I have recently embarked on my year long French course on the base. It has been a very long time (28 years +) since I took a formal language course. I have realized how much I have forgotten over the years and the extent of the challenge before me. So far we have an excellent professor and the 5 other (much younger) students are equally submersed in this venture.
I served in the role of Platoon Warrant Officer at 1 Service Battalion, Transportation Company, Movements Platoon for 4 years (2013 to 2017). I have recently returned from a 7 month tour in Kuwait and was fortunate enough to travel to Iraq for a week to head the catch team for the official visit of the Minister of National Defence. I have been to over 70 countries around the world and still love travelling. I will be staying put for the next year as I will be promoted to the rank of Master Warrant Officer and be going back to school on a year long French course starting in August in Edmonton.
