Hi! I'm Charlene, a data/graphics journalist at The Straits Times. I bring stories to life through visual mediums, which could include 📈 data, 🗺️ maps, 📸 photo/video and 🎨3D visualisations. I graduated with a comms degree in 2020, with a specialisation in broadcast journalism. In 2023, I also earned my Masters degree in dataviz, equipping me with more tools and skills for visual storytelling. Outside of work, I spend hours watching a crazy coffee man (James Hoffman) talk about coffee ☕, scream my lungs out at spin class, and (try not to) buy an excessive amount of bread. As part of the Livestream team, I have: • Conceptualised, scripted & produced more than 50 livestreams within 3 months • Took charge executing big campaigns livestreams such as 10.10, 11.11 and 12.12, with more than 30k views and 100k likes on spike day streams • Liaised with multiple stakeholders (brands, sellers, business development team) on a daily basis for content execution
