Developed detailed project plans for developmental works, including infrastructure updates, systems developments and results tracking. Consolidate stakeholder involvement, track timelines, manage budget, timeline and resources to achieve project objectives. Worked closely with various government agencies and Unions to facilitate and advance developmental works for the Port. Researched on new technologies and capabilities pertaining to technical specifications, implementations, operating modes and system integrations. Research findings supported decision making for scalability. Supported and hosted visits to the Port for distinguished government delegations locally and from around the world. Innovated and contributed in the development of an Innovation centre to showcase port developments and capabilities. Developed materials for port introduction and sharing, produced corporate gifts for external stakeholders.
Oversee and managed all shift personnel and operational activities to ensure efficient and safe handling of containers, vessels and related services. Forward planning of resources and allocation of berth space for customers to meet needs and ensure high productivity. Monitored and evaluated operational performance to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions. Liaise with various customers from different shipping lines to make arrangements for berth planning, cargo handling and other ad-hoc collaborations. Build strong relationships with various stakeholders to promote collaboration and mutual benefit. Guided the shift team on resource planning, target setting and exception handling. Embarked on various projects pertaining to KPI enhancement, manpower development and team cohesion.
Planned for resource deployment and allocation for more than 100 men every shift and guided a team of 10-20 Control Centre personnel to ensure that shift goals are established, targets are set and outcomes are achieved. Liaised with vessel agents and various shipping lines during exception handling to ensure compliance and swift resolution.
Served as the General Secretary of National University of Singapore (NUSSU) Flag 2018. Worked closely with the Project Directors of Flag 2018 as well as 22 other participating bodies who contributed to the Flag event.
