I’m a legal, governance and compliance professional working in the renewable energy space at AltGen. In my role, I am responsible for legal, governance and compliance across AltGen’s African entities, with a focus on contracts, company and trust administration, statutory compliance, community project governance, document control and practical systems that help teams work more efficiently. My work includes supporting community trust administration and governance frameworks, including policies, agreements, trustee support, statutory filings, POPIA, beneficial ownership and audit-ready record keeping. Before moving deeper into legal and governance work, I gained recruitment experience, which taught me the importance of people, process and communication. It gave me a practical understanding of how businesses and communities connect, and how strong systems can create better outcomes for everyone involved. I was admitted as an attorney in 2024 and am currently completing my board exams through CGISA to qualify as a Chartered Secretary. I’m passionate about the environment, good governance, and implementing systems that add real value - not just on paper - but in the way organisations operate every day. My goal is to keep growing as a governance professional while contributing to work that supports responsible business, sustainable development and meaningful community impact.

As Legal Associate for the AltGen Group, I provide cross-border legal and compliance support for our operations across multiple African jurisdictions, including Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mauritius, South Africa, and other EOR markets. Key responsibilities include: Strategy & Governance: Implementing and maintaining legal processes, procedures, and governance frameworks; contributing to strategic development and risk mitigation. Compliance & Risk: Maintaining compliance for all jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to employment laws, and overseeing in-country legal compliance. Contracts & Legal Documentation: Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining internal and client employment contracts, service level agreements, NDAs, and terms & conditions in accordance with local labour laws. Policy Management: Developing and updating internal policies for the AltGen Group to meet statutory and operational requirements. Research & Business Development: Providing legal research, reviewing and compiling bid and proposal documentation, and ensuring contractual accuracy for donor-funded and private sector projects. In-Country Compliance: Liaising with local authorities in all EOR African countries, ensuring contracts and operations align with regional labour regulations.
EOR In Africa, part of the 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗚𝗲𝗻 Group, provides Employer of Record and in-country employment solutions across Africa, enabling organisations to scale compliantly without establishing local entities -particularly in renewable energy, infrastructure and sustainability. In my role, I support EOR operations across multiple African jurisdictions by delivering cross-border legal and compliance support, ensuring that employment structures, contracts and operations are legally sound, commercially practical, and aligned with local labour regulations. My work spans employment contracts and Master Service Agreements, in-country compliance, regulatory risk management, internal policies, and legal input into bids and client onboarding for donor-funded and private sector projects.
