I’m a recent UC San Diego graduate with a background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and pharmacology, specializing in ER misfolding research. Through my Senior Honors Thesis, I deepened my passion for cellular and developmental biology, presenting my work at conferences and symposiums. Currently, I am a Research Associate at the Broad Institute @ Gerstner Center for Cancer Diagnostics, where I apply my skills in molecular techniques, data analysis, and experimental design to cutting-edge cancer research. My long-term goal is to pursue a Ph.D. to further develop my research skills and contribute to advancing scientific knowledge and therapeutic innovations. I thrive in collaborative environments and am excited to continue growing in the research field.

Performed general lab maintenance, including washing and autoclaving glassware, while also preparing media and chemical solutions. My role expanded to include computer-based tasks such as data entry and document creation using Microsoft Office.
Leveraged western blots and confocal microscopy to investigate whether the mammalian Derlins function analogously to yeast Dsc2 in regulating Golgi protein dynamics. Specifically, we seek to determine the localization and potential involvement of Derlin-2 and Derlin-3 in this process.
Working with my co-chair and rest of the team to lead project planning efforts among 60 students. Expand RISHI's mission by working with the people in Vemavaram and providing meaningful feedback to committee members to create impactful and sustainable projects.
Expanding Project RISHI's initiative by working to incorporate it within schools in India by contacting government authorities, school officials and students, as well as universities to implement our project and ideas on a large scale and expand Project RISHI's reach to have an impact beyond the local community.
Worked with the Women Empowerment committee to build a project for the girls in the village of Vemavaram in Telangana, India on how to develop healthy personal relationships and confidence.
Investigated the potential of new therapeutics, muscle modulators, for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Throughout the summer I gained hands-on experience in preclinical translational studies and insight on animal welfare and IACUC compliance, study design, animal handling techniques, molecular assays, and histological analysis.
Leading and supervising a team of 4-5 members to help them compose, edit, and publish articles written for manuscripts, reviews, and/or Master’s brevias in the UCSD Biological Sciences department. Working with the Review Board manager to advance scientific writing and scholarship.
Working closely with student researchers and the Research Editor to compose an accompanying article for their manuscripts, reviews, and/or Master’s brevias. Through the process, the goal is to increase the accessibility of the publication and research to non-biology major undergraduates.
