About

I am a clinical and operational leader with 20 years of experience helping healthcare organizations improve their operations and achieve high-quality patient care. As a clinician, my focus is on improvement of peri-operative care. Across multiple large health systems, I have implemented processes to improve peri-operative outcomes, including improvement of operating room throughput and surgical service revenue, lowering of peri-operative morbidity, and lowering readmissions and length of stay. This work has included high-risk patient populations. See bibliography below for relevant publications. More broadly, as a health system leader, I have experience driving clinical, operational and financial improvements in both inpatient and ambulatory care settings. My leadership experience spans hospital operations, health system service-line leadership, employed medical group management, IPA network management, full-risk and partial-risk value-based care arrangements, population health, graduate medical education, and research.
