BDQ helps our customers manage tasks, develop software, automate work, implement ITSM and collaborate more effectively. We prefer prototypes over documentation - "a picture paints a thousand words", and work transparently with our customers, using the best collaborative tools. We have deep expertise in Atlassian products and other technologies, and provide managed projects, consultancy, training and support. We are an Atlassian Solution Partner, and also partner with many of the major plugin providers. We also work with other relevant technologies such as AWS and Azure. Business Data Quality originally authored data analysis and monitoring products, providing them to enterprise customers such as Swiss Re, Tokio Marine Insurance, Lloyd's, BPP, and the Atomic Weapons Establishment.
Evoke Software created the data profiling market segment. I was in charge of support, technical and pre-sales staff for Evoke EMEA, supporting internal and partner sales teams. I gathered requirements and market intelligence, feeding back to US engineering and product management. I worked on both direct enterprise deals, and supporting major partners, particularly IBM Software, which generated millions in revenue from what was a greenfield technology space. Evoke was ultimately positioned for acquisition.
SmartData Solutions distributed enterprise software products from US vendors. I specialised in consulting, pre-sales and support to customers across Europe. Initially the main focus was the GemStone object oriented database, using SmallTalk. This shifted to Evoke Software's products, which came to create the market segment now known as Data Profiling. We established new enterprise customers within the UK from scratch, and SmartData was acquired by Evoke Software to create the direct European office.
