► Responsible for procuring STAR Refinery’s crude oil needs and oil product import & exports of STAR Refinery and Socar Distribution company. ► Recapitulate agreed terms and conditions of the deals and share with the Trade operations team. ► Coordinate shipping needs of crude, and products with the Logistics department. ► Advise all possible costs such as Freight, insurance, financing, inspection etc and make sure to be properly booked in Trading systems. ► Ensure smooth operations including marine logistics, quality & quantity assurance, pricing decision, contractual negotiation as per agreed terms and conditions. ► Ensure smooth and sustainable day-to-day operations being done without any delay or major problems. ► Troubleshoot any topic that may prevent continuous and sustainable operation. ► Make sure all related parties to be informed about possible troubles and problems in order to find and execute solutions properly and punctually.
● Oversee negotiation and secure appropriate contractual terms to maximize financial and operational performance and minimize risk. ● Ensure compliance with contract terms; provide interpretations in the event of contractual noncompliance and assists in contractual resolution. ● Draft and review contracts for completeness of documentation per Company policies and appropriate functional inputs ● Negotiate and revise a wide variety of commercial contracts including non-disclosure agreements, services agreements, engagement letters, ancillary documentation, and other supporting documentation. ● Identify risks that contracts should address, employ contractual tools & techniques to increase competitive advantage. ● Execute appropriate contractual terms for maximization of financial and operational performance and minimization of risk (e.g., supply and delivery, product quality and amount, procurement). ● Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions on contractual issues. ● Overhaul drafting, reviewing, negotiating and revising the contractual terms and conditions for commercial contracts. ● Identify risks that contracts should address. ● Deliver Operational and Financial compliance with contract terms and conditions. ● Control of issuance or execution of financial instruments as per the trade contracts such as LC, LG, PU, PCO, PCG. ● Plan monthly budget reviews with local management and budget owners, including analysis of key areas. ● Consolidate monthly management reporting on financial and operational performance. ● Manage and complete monthly closing of all Profit and Loss (P&L) and check daily P & L of each commodity traded. ● Present, explain, and comment on financial results to Executive Management, including processes and procedures critical to the generation of timely and accurate financial results.
● Execution of all financial operations of foreign suppliers within Supply Chain Directorate. ● Handle all of the import processes of petroleum and all of the goods and derivatives. ● Co-ordinate letter of credit issuances & amendments and related payments. ● Control all invoices and arrange whether they are prepared according to the custom compliant. ● Drive financial reconciliations and management reporting. ● Assess suppliers' contracts and negotiate the terms with relevant parties. ● Liaise actively with internal departments for communicating import activities and support departments like purchasing, production, sales, materials management, and overall operating functions. ● Support the finance team in delivering on ad-hoc requests.
● Foster all banking relationships, foreign suppliers and prepare cash-flow on a monthly basis under the Finance Department ● Manage all purchases from A to Z of trade (Payments, invoicing, receivables, credit utilization table, letter of credits and amendments, LG, PB, using foreign currency loans, and so on. ● Check all the commercial contracts. ● Prepare group cash position and outstanding storage invoiced to the management.
