About

As a Ph.D.-qualified Associate Structural Engineer, I specialize in the design and analysis of complex steel, timber, and reinforced concrete structures. My experience spans a wide range of large-scale projects—including airport terminals, shopping malls, industrial facilities, and aviation structures such as helipads—designed in accordance with international standards including Turkish Codes, US Codes (LRFD, ACI 318, AWS D1.1, NDS), and Eurocodes. My core expertise lies in structural steel design, with a strong focus on vehicle and pedestrian bridges, crane girders, retaining walls, vibration-sensitive steel floors, fire protection, and composite systems. I bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to every project, supported by strong interdisciplinary communication and client engagement skills. Beyond industry practice, I actively contribute to the advancement of structural engineering as a member of the TK-13 Seismic Design Committee under TUCSA (Turkish Association of Constructional Steelworks). I also serve as a part-time lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University and Yeditepe University, teaching foundational courses such as Statics, Strength of Materials, and Computer Applications in Civil Engineering. My academic research focuses on enhancing the cyclic performance of steel tube braces using advanced composites. I am particularly interested in experimental methods in earthquake engineering, blast-resistant design, structural robustness, and base isolation technologies.
