I completed my education in the early days of the spreading of the internet. I am excited by the potential of technology to create new ways of doing things and to provide new solutions to problems. I'm proud and privileged to have been part of the community that helped build, spread and shape the commercial internet in Turkey from its very beginnings. In my mind, the key and disruptive promise of the internet is that it is the great equalizer and enabler. It provides essentially unlimited access to knowledge, education, entertainment, services and commerce. And it’s also an incredible tool to publish, create, share and communicate. Together with my team members, we have built and are building Turknet around this vision of freedom and empowerment. At Turknet, we think everyone deserves first rate internet, and we’ve gone about creating an internet service that we ourselves want to use. We don’t believe in the quotas, long term binding lock-ins, confusing offers and funny pricing games that are widespread in our industry. We believe in the power of curiosity, creativity and imagination. We use technology to realize our creations, to simplify and to enable. And we add in hard work, sheer sweat and will power where that isn’t quite enough. If the idea is right, “that can’t be done”, or “that’s not how things are done” won’t stop us. At Turknet we enjoy these challenges, and have been recognized as a Great Place To Work. We are fervent about speed. We already offer amongst the highest speeds and want to go faster yet. Netflix and nperf rank us as the fastest broadband provider in Turkey. We’re not nearly done! We are agile and action oriented in how we work. We don’t like hiding behind obfuscations, confusing contracts and walls of secrecy. “You wouldn’t understand”, “go away, try again tomorrow” is not how we operate. Offering the best customer experience is dear to our hearts. Our industry is not very good at this, and we’ve got lots of room to improve.
