Menswear (Leisurewear) Responsibilities include: forecasting and trading through managing the WSSI- identifying OTB and overstocks and recommending appropriate actions. Taking ownership of the planning and execution of Leisurewear’s AW and SS Strategies, developing the financial framework, stock models, creating options plans and presenting KPI's to Buying and Merchandising Directors in Strategy and Sign Off meetings. Collaborating with the buying team to develop commercial ranges, using analysis gathered to build buy quantities to the correct store grades.
December 2016- January 2018: Menswear (Knitwear, Shorts and Swimwear) September 2015- December 2016: Childrenswear (Girlswear) Responsibilities include: presenting sales figures in Monday trade, implementing and suggesting trade actions, sizing analysis, producing and analysing sales reports used in Strategy and Sign Offs. Working with the buying team to ensure orders have been raised accurately and deliveries are to schedule.
One year’s placement as part of degree programme. Retail management experience working in 5 different stores in the areas of Foods, General Merchandising, Finance and Operations, Hospitality and Visual Merchandising. Communication skills delivered on a daily basis through engaging staff members on key business information; leading staff team briefs and head office walk rounds, presenting figures at commercial meetings. Commercial awareness shown with the analysis and interpretation of a variety of retail reports, probing poor performing departments and the interpretation of company policies to ensure the launch of seasonal and promotional displays. Leadership skills displayed whilst managing the Menswear department in Basingstoke during the company’s national brand reappraisal trial.
Retail experience, dealing with customer queries and complaints, offering customers advice on clothing and outfit building. Responsible for the handling of cash with till operation, dealing with refunds and cashing up at the end of the day. Assisting with store layout and visual merchandising. Contributing to regularly achieving the concession’s weekly sales targets.
