Novasep is a CDMO in the field of molecule production and purification for the life science and chemical industries. As process engineer, my missions are : - Setting up the R&D laboratory - Process & purification development and optimization from mg to kg scale using DoE approach (with respect of costs and deadlines) - Planning, executing and supervising experimental bench work - Ensuring regular contacts with customers - Writing official documents (reports, scientific presentations, SOPs, ...) - Managing several technicians - Being technical and scientific support to other departments (QC, QA, marketing, ...)
Servier laboratory highlighted a new therapeutic target (receptor Gpr88 with unknown role) for the treatment of neuropsychiatric disease (schizophrenia). As postdoctoral research scientist, my missions were: - Elaboration and execution of new synthetic pathways (multistep synthesis, cross-couplings, organometallic and heterocyclic chemistry) - Purification and elucidation of chemical structures (NMR, LC-MS, ...) - Structure-Activity Relationship studies Main achievements: - Development of two potential hits based on (aza)indole and thiazole derivatives - Fine tuning of 1 compound to improve biological activity
MNI (now INVICRO) is a clinical research organization designing and conducting brain-imaging research. Amongst the medicinal research group, I was in charge of : - Design, synthesis, characterization and evaluation of new radioligands to support the pre-clinical and clinical activities of the company - Small scale and large scale radiolabelling of various complex precursors with Fluorine-18 under cGMP of radiopharmaceuticals used in human imaging clinical trials. Main achievements: - 10 precursors and standards targetting various receptors involved in mood and neurodegenerative diseases. - 18-F radiotracer for dopamine receptors was developped => I.N.D submission - GMP-compliant radiosynthesis of PDE2A tracer [18-F]PF-05270430 for evaluation in clinical PET study
A-Star is Singapore's lead public sector agency that spearheads economic oriented research to advance scientific discovery and develop innovative technology. - Elaborating and executing new synthetic pathways to get new fluorescent dyes for cell-imaging (multistep synthesis, cross-couplings, organometallic and heterocyclic chemistry) - Photophysical characterization (quantum yield determination, FRET parameters) of organic dyes (bodipy, cyanine) - Trained the research group for the purification optimization of water soluble fluorescent dyes by preparative RP-HPLC - PhDs and trainees supervision Main achievements: - Numerous zwitterionic water soluble cyanine dyes => versatile applications - 1 fluorescent probe coumarine-cyanine developed for FRET application - Synthesis of halogenated fluorescent dyes for PhotoDynamic Therapy.
