Academically I possess a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering, followed by Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration & Management, General; Production Management and Materials Management. Professionally I have experience of four decades in E2E Supply Chain Strategy & Operations, having occupied leadership roles of increasing responsibility in the multinational Pharmaceutical sector within India and the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, with exposure to matrix organizations. Within my above experience, I have spent five years leading Manufacturing Operations of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) with multinational Pharmaceutical Companies in India. I gained invaluable experience of setting up and operating a green field multi purpose API manufacturing plant while at Boots India, under the guidance of international Project and Technical Managers from Boots UK. Upon superannuating from the Corporate World, I had the opportunity to lead in a Consulting CXO role of Chief Operating Officer, the Supply Chain Management Centre (SCMC), a Centre of Excellence (CoE), at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), a Business & Management School and Institute of National Importance ranked globally within the top 50, from where I superannuated upon attaining the age of 65 on August 31, 2020. I am currently empanneled with a few Management Consulting companies, to keep professionally active.
