Dr Cecilia Tsui is a senior executive and a serial entrepreneur. She specialises in Innovation & Entrepreneurship Ventures, and Technological Changes in the New Economy, as well as Management Transformation in human-centric and strategic quality approaches. Having worked for the Swire Group, Citicorp International Ltd., Hang Seng School of Commerce and the Open University of Hong Kong, Cecilia is now leading a portfolio of companies. Cecilia has earned her PhD from University College London (UCL) UK. In pursuing her PhD, she has visited major higher education research centres in Europe (i.e. UNESCO IIEP, OECD IMHE), as well as interviewed key stakeholders in different countries. For work and study, she has visited 15 countries. Through life-long learning in multi-disciplinary studies (including business management, education policy and public management, sustainability leadership and design for the built environment), she is able to develop constructive solutions. Dr Tsui's major achievements are as follows: * Building the IMAGINE IF! Global Accelerator in Hong Kong / Asia Pacific, and nurturing startups and scaleups with business and social impacts. * Publishing papers and reports with leading figures in fields of innovation & entrepreneurship, management, higher education and training development; including the Former Secretary General, University Grants Committee Hong Kong, and Prof Joseph Maciariello (Peter Drucker's colleague, friend, and successor). * Successfully passed PhD (UCL IOE) outright after the viva in February 2009 - Examiner: Prof Lee Harvey (a leading scholar in the field), Supervisors: Prof Lewis Elton (UCL), Prof Kai-ming Cheng (HKU). * Founder Chairperson, Chartered Management Institute, United Kingdom (Hong Kong Branch) - awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Institute; presented by the Branch Hon. President, Sir Sze-yuen Chung, GBM, CBE, LLD, DSc, PhD, FREng, JP in December 2003. Cecilia is now a Companion (CCMI) of the Institute. * In 2003, successfully passed the Chartered Manager Assessment and being the first women CMgr in Hong Kong. * In 1998, being the first academic staff co-ordinating an online forum with international scholars at the OUHK for a project comparing “Administrative Styles, Processes and Outcomes of Open Universities in Asia”. Also, Cecilia has developed and led courses in Business, Management and General Education. * Facilitated the merger of Merrill Lynch with Sun Hung Kei Finance Limited, and the establishment of Sun Hung Kei Bank Limited in the early 1980s.
