I am working for BrokerConnector, an exciting property based internet start-up business in Dubai. BrokerConnector is an online marketplace/app, which we aim to make the go-to business tool for UAE property brokers and which we hope will revolutionise the agent-to-agent property dealing process. . My responsibilities have included all aspects of building a business from scratch and working as part of a tight team. Project management, website/app design, development, testing, sales and marketing, onboarding, and training clients. .

I was a Senior Money Broker on the Sterling Corporate desk, working with a variety of financial products including Cash, Certificates of Deposit, Treasury Bills, Gilts, FRN’s, Government Bond Repo and Foreign Exchange. My client base was very diverse and included banks, financial institutions, quoted companies, start-ups, charities, high net worth individuals, local authorities and government agencies. I established close long-term business relationships across all levels of seniority, adding value by giving well-informed advice regarding dealing opportunities and other aspects of the business, such as counterparty risk. I always kept up to date with rapidly changing economic and political landscapes and was able to communicate the implications and potential impact of events on the markets in which I operated. High-profile clients that I pioneered and brought to the company included BlackRock Investment Management (the world’s largest asset manager), CitiBank, Eurotunnel, and The British Museum.
