I am a self-taught Software Engineer with a background in Industrial Engineering and systematic options trading. Currently, I specialize in building high-impact enterprise solutions, specifically leveraging Java and Python for backend architecture and React for dynamic frontends. My path to software development was non-traditional. I began my career in the world of quantitative finance, where I traded US equity options, engineered firm-wide Python tooling, and optimized automated trading algorithms. This experience gave me a unique perspective on technical risk, data analysis, and the importance of building resilient software. Today, I thrive on tackling multifaceted technical challenges, designing interactive and polished user interfaces, and leveraging AI to optimize my workflow. I’m an adaptable problem-solver who enjoys picking up new technologies quickly while maintaining a rigorous attention to detail to ensure high-quality business outcomes.
Primary role involves taking on extensive software development initiatives that serve to improve the automated Illiquid options trading system in ways that will increase future profit.
• Managed my own delta neutral options portfolio in mid-liquid names. Continued to rotate with senior traders, take on coding projects for trading teams, and explore potential long-term opportunities with trading teams. • Mentor for incoming trading associates and project manager for summer interns.
• Started at Peak6 as a Trading Associate learning about options theory and the market, working with the firm’s tech stack, and successfully trading US equity options in an individual delta neutral portfolio for profit. • Rotated with 5 options trading teams including systematic, leaps, surface trading, mid-liquid, and illiquid. Learned about the team’s strategy, pitched trade ideas, and took on coding projects throughout each rotation.
• Learned basic options theory and worked with a team to program a tool that screened for cheap weekly options.
Role Overview Participation in the Clemson co-op program provided me the opportunity to work in a professional manufacturing environment for two semesters before finishing my engineering degree. I got the chance to plan and execute projects that advanced the logistics of the auto manufacturing plant I was working at. Business Initiatives Excel VBA Automated Tunnel Chart Script - Prior to this project, logistics engineers had to manually update the tunnel charts above the assembly racks every time a part was added, moved, or removed. As a result, these charts were outdated, inaccurate, or missing entirely. I designed a project to automate this process entirely. • Taught myself excel VBA and wrote a script that automatically generated new tunnel charts and updated existing charts in response to part file changes for assembly racks across all product groups. • Additional Project work: extensive cleanup of part files, route layout designs, high rack packaging reorganization, and material flow center signage initiative. Role Highlights • Worked in SAP to add parts, edit control cycles, and analyze RFID scans and packaging order data. • Performed weekly & monthly process audits for missing kanbans, part overflow, route delivery, and 5S. • Assisted mentor in ECU, motor, and bracket relocation in preparation for BPS integration.
• Taught myself Python and created instructional Youtube videos aimed at teaching people how to solve linear programming problems in Python using PuLP. This channel went on to gain traction and help students and professionals solve complex operations research scenarios.
