I am a seasoned leader at the intersection of technology, policy, and innovation, deeply committed to delivering the forefront of responsible technical development, in particular emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain and advanced communications networks. Some examples of things I have done previously are: • Founded and scaled international research centres - including the first academic blockchain institute globally - collaborating across universities, industry, policy forums, and governments • Shaped digital infrastructure and regulatory ecosystems through experience with the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation and as a World Economic Forum Fellow driving data-policy and digital resilience agendas • Built and led high impact, multidisciplinary teams across geographies, sectors, and cultural contexts - mobilising faculty, engineers, policymakers, business leaders, and civic actors. • Secured and stewarded complex funding portfolios, including public, philanthropic, and institutional grants supporting centre establishment, technology pilots, and ecosystem programmes I thrive in start-up and transformative environments, combining strategic vision with operational discipline to establish new centres of excellence. I lead through influence, trust, and convening power, with a track record of forging multi actor partnerships across academia, government, and private sectors. My passion lies in developing ethical, inclusive innovation systems that are aligned with my values - fairness, trust, sustainability and creating greater societal resilience - while delivering tangible socio economic impact.
