Throughout her 8+ year career, Catherine has found her passion and calling in impact led communities and initiatives. From running her own organisation GLOW, to managing the communities of impact focused organisations (Circl, Colorintech and Bae HQ), to consulting growing community organisations, she has made a significant impact on the communities she’s nurtured.     This non-profit organisation is the UK community for Asian-heritage founders and investors. I was responsible for the creation of community processes and delivery of events, programmes and initiatives. Below are a few highlights from the work I was involved in during the last five months as part of the Bae HQ team: ✅ Event Management: Planned 14 in-person free events. ✅ Communication Strategy: Set up our new CMS system and created automated communications journeys that react to member actions. ✅ Impact Metrics: Created and implemented an Event Quality Score and Programme Quality Score to understand our successes and areas for improvement. ✅ Volunteer Management & Operations: Created and launched our first volunteer programme involving an application process, a tiered reward system, and volunteer sub-community! ✅ Regional Expansion: Successfully launched two events in a new region (Birmingham): a founders and investors dinner, and community panel.     This international Non-Profit supports underrepresented students, working professionals, and founders to excel in tech. After joining as the Community and Events Lead, I was promoted to Head of due to my contributions and leadership. Key responsibilities included: ✅ Community Strategy and Growth: Due to tech’s changing nature, the community strategy was reactive to the community’s needs determined through an annual survey, feedback, and analysing member’s behaviours. ✅ Event Delivery: Ran 75+ in-person, hybrid and virtual events and programmes. Through better communications and value, I increased turnout from 29.79% upon joining to 66.96% by July 2025. ✅ Development of New Offerings: I created a new pathway focused on a variety of successful programmes and events that achieve this. ✅ Communication Engagement through a highly active mailing list, LinkedIn Community group and Whatsapp Community. ✅ Impact Metrics: Created and implemented an Event Quality Score to understand event’s successes and areas for improvement, ie 99% would recommend someone to our events. This was alongside core impact metrics. ✅ Client Management: Generate ideas, manage relationships, and deliver projects with Apple, Netflix, Meta, HelloFresh, Just Eat, HSBC Innovation Bank, Dojo and more. Many began new projects after a positive experience. ✅ Team Management & Operations: Managed team member to grow in community and events, support and mentored our startups and students leads, manage our facilitators for our AI programmes, support in team days and training, and co-manage team sync meetings. ✅ Speaking, Networking & Sales Support: Frequently attend, speak and co-organise other events within the tech industry to increase awareness, generate leads or support our partners or members initiatives.
