Catherine Woskobnick is an award-winning Senior Healthcare Executive whose 20-year tenure at Mercy Health Lorain Region (a 338-bed community hospital that’s now part of Bon Secours Mercy Health) has spanned leadership roles in HR, organizational learning and mission integration. Throughout her career, she has been lauded for driving consensus among key stakeholders and uniting cross-functional teams to collaborate on mission-critical initiatives. Catherine’s areas of expertise range from patient experience and diversity/inclusion to community partnerships, leadership development and process improvement. Currently, Catherine is Vice President for Mission & Integration, and at the heart of her work is a relentless focus on strengthening patient care, operational performance and community health outcomes. In this role, Catherine increased patient load in palliative care by 22% in one year; saved 15% on housekeeping expenses by tightening overtime usage, while exceeding 85th percentile for Press Ganey scores; and directed two Community Health Needs Assessments that have invested $48M to address behavioral health, obesity and infant mortality, among other issues. An accomplished change agent, Catherine launched a “rewards and recognition” program that lifted employee engagement from 3.75 to 4.5 in two years at Mercy Health Lorain Region. In 2004, she created “Rising Star,” a shadowing program to increase the pipeline of diverse candidates into the healthcare industry; the program has served 72 students, producing 32 college graduates and six current medical school students to date. Catherine is an organizational learning expert who has designed and implemented 40 classroom and 250+ online courses that have elevated the performance of 2,500 healthcare professionals since 1998.
