•Develop strategic goals and initiatives for implementing German-style apprenticeship programs in the Southeastern US. •Outreach to key companies, educational institutions, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders to drive the creation of German-style apprenticeship programs in the US; oversee events and steer marketing efforts to generate interest and awareness, e.g. Industry Information events, Parent/Student Industry Nights, etc. • Advise and support GA CATT (Georgia Consortium for Advanced Technical Training) network stakeholders, including employers, educators, and workforce development organizations. Current focus areas for apprenticeship training in Georgia include Mechatronics, CNC Technician, and Advanced Manufacturing. • Coordinate GA CATT Steering Committee and Exam Boards; oversee certification and annual examinations. • Grant proposal writing (in German and English) to obtain programmatic funding. • Secure additional revenue streams through grant applications, program fees, testing/certification. In 2021 this included a three-year German Federal Ministry of Education and Research grant and a multi-year grant from The Halle Foundation. • Oversight and administration of public and private funding sources in collaboration with accounting department, including annual and semi-annual reporting. •Department Budget responsibility for all Skills Initiative activities, including future personnel and resource planning. Monitor and take corrective action as necessary to ensure budget goals are met. •Spearhead miscellaneous projects related to dual vocational education and training in the Southeastern US, including development of curriculum and training systems. •Supervise team of four direct reports.
-Consult German SMEs as they enter and expand into the US market via market expansion and strategy development services, including researching and writing Target Market Analyses & Feasibility Studies, conducting Business Partner Searches, writing Business Plans and analyzing potential US Site locations. -Organization of business delegations from Germany to the southeastern US -Conceptualization, planning, and implementation of industry-specific conferences -Acquisition, management and financial controlling of Consulting Services projects -Proposal writing in English and German -Forecasting and budget development -Relationship management with past, current and prospective clients, as well as numerous stakeholders across the GACC South network -Regular travel to Germany to hold presentations in German at various events -Team leadership of 3-5 direct reports
