- Oversee day to day operations of Child Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program and Therapeutic Afterschool Program. - Responsible for daily scheduling of programming. - Responsible for ensuring that program operates as planned and that patients are delivered high quality services in accordance with program and hospital policies. - Provide clinical consultation and support to members of the multidisciplinary treatment team. - Provide coverage and carry cases for clinical team members as needed. - Assist with daily charge reconciliation. - Provide crisis management and intervention throughout the program.
-Provide individual, family and group psychotherapeutic services and crisis intervention to a caseload of eight to twelve patients with psychiatric diagnoses and developmental disabilities. -Conduct psychosocial assessments, suicide risk and violence risk assessments. -Provide case management and discharge planning services, including facilitating linkages with community resources. -Assess psychosocial needs and identify and plan for potential barriers to treatment. -Complete health insurance utilization reviews and collaborate with health insurance case managers. -Participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team to determine diagnosis, treatment goals and interventions for patients. -Testify in Civil Commitment Hearings on a biweekly basis. -Collaborate with the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Children’s System of Care Management Organizations and schools to determine treatment and aftercare recommendations. -Responsible for timely completion of documentation and maintaining patient records via Electronic Health Record. -Utilize translation software to provide culturally competent services to clients and families. -Supervise and serve as field instructor for social work interns.
Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit
-Provide intensive, in-home crisis stabilization and intervention to families involved with the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency with children at imminent risk of out of home placement. -Utilized evidence-based approaches to determine interventions and to provide family education and counseling utilizing the Nurturing Parenting curriculum, cognitive-behavioral and crisis intervention approaches. -Completed biopsychosocial assessments and suicide risk assessments -Identified psychosocial needs of clients. -Located and facilitated linkages and referrals to relevant community resources -Provided case management services. -Maintained documentation via EMR. -Collaborated with other professionals regarding family treatment needs -Provided 24 hour on-call crisis phone coverage.
- Assist in data analysis and compilation of yearly project evaluation reports for the New Jersey Child Welfare Training Partnership and Grow NJ Kids Training Services. - Grade and enter post tests and training evaluations - Create feedback and grade reports as needed. - Assist with program evaluation design during implementation of Grow NJ Kids Training Services. - Revise instruments designed to assess knowledge gain. - Create Qualtrics-based email surveys.
- Provide individual, family and group therapy utilizing cognitive-behavioral and crisis intervention approaches for patients with a range of psychiatric diagnoses. - Provide case management services to assigned patients. - Conduct biopsychosocial and suicide risk assessments for newly admitted patients. - Collaborated with treatment team to develop multidisciplinary treatment plans. - Collaborate with families, schools, the N.J. Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Care Management Organizations and treatment team. - Develop discharge plans and facilitate referrals for appropriate level of aftercare.
