As a Senior Application Specialist I am involved in all phases of the Méthode platform implementation cycle, from the initial planning, the technical solution design and the implementation to the roll-out and the go-live support. For the Australian subsidiary of EidosMedia I help the customers to take advantage of the continuous improvement of the product and to adapt their solution to the evolving needs of the publishing world. I work closely with the customer's team to detect and prevent any possible issue, I am the contact point between the customer and the EidosMedia head-quarter for tracking, monitoring and escalating problems. I actively collaborated in the initial definition and subsequent refinements of the support processes of the Sydney office to guarantee a prompt analysis of issues, the presentation of temporary workaround and the communication of the solution to the customer. Thanks to the expertise gained during the local projects, I drove the adoption of an automated testing solution to be used both from the head-quarter and the local subsidiaries to guarantee a high software and implementation quality.
After an initial involvement in German projects, I increased the knowledge of the Media market and its processes working in other international projects in Spain, South Africa, England and in the United States. In the United States I worked as a technical lead on a converged project helping the parties (the print and the web team) to find common solutions and to define the standards to replicate the installation for many other newspapers of to the same publisher. My involvement from the first phases of the project gave me the opportunity to conduct and lead the Design Phase. During this project I increased my skills on the organization of a complex and converged newsroom that requires a news management tool for its daily business. My responsibility was to agree with the customer and to deliver a high quality solution, corresponding to the customers’ needs, based on the Méthode Publishing System. As one of the most Senior Resource of the company with a deep technical knowledge of the Méthode platform, I have also been in charge of transferring the know-how to new hires and project’s team member. I took part in the migration projects to the latest product version for customers in various countries. My involvement was required to analyse, overview, plan and train the customer on the changes required for the adoption of the newest version. In England I supported the customer during the analysis and implementation of a new newsroom’s workflows and the implementation of the wires’ import in the Méthode CMS, which substituted an external tool. I was also involved in the editorial configuration required to introduce the Méthode Portal Server for a customer already creating web content in Méthode to feed an external system. When not directly involved in projects I’m working with the Application Support team in Milan to support other projects activities. During this time I have been in charge of the training of the colleagues and the customer on the Méthode Platform.
