Caterina Di Cecca is an Italian composer based in Rome. Her scores have been performed and programmed in nearly twenty countries worldwide (Austria, Belgium, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, The Philippines, Ukraine and USA) by renowned ensembles and orchestras such as Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse (FR), Tokyo Sinfonietta (JP), Neue Vocalsolisten (DE), Orchestra and Choir of the Teatro Petruzzelli (IT), Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (UK), Orchestra della Toscana (IT), Ensemble Mosaik (DE), Ulysses Ensemble, Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden (CH), Musiques Nouvelles (BE), Ars Nova Ensemble (FR), Alarm Will Sound (US), Riot Ensemble (UK), Ensemble Oerknal! (NL), Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (RU) and Ensemble Reconsil (AT). She has been selected in fifty international composition competitions and calls for scores, the following are worth mentioning: Unanimes! She has received commissions by numerous institutions including County Hall Arts (UK), Biennale Musica di Venezia (IT), Ars Nova Ensemble in collaboration with SACEM (FR), SIAE – Classici di Oggi in partnership with Orchestra della Toscana (IT), Aldeburgh Festival (UK) in cooperation with Ulysses Network, Divertimento Ensemble (IT) supported by Ernst von Siemens Foundation (DE), Fondazione Lirico Sinfonica Petruzzelli e Teatri di Bari (IT), MICF 2022 (US), Puccini Festival (IT), German Embassy in Rome (DE) and World Exposition 2015 (IT). She has been invited as a composer-in-residence in Italy (Fondazione Spinola Banna per l’Arte – 2015) and in the US (Mizzou International Composers Festival – 2022). Her music is published by SZ Sugar of Milan and it has been broadcast on Musiq3, RAI – RadioTre, RadiostART and Euroclassical.
