Filipina American from NY living in Japan. Taught English at universities for nine years, then made my first career change to become a Linguistic Validation Project Manager. Passionate about education, cultural exchange, translation (JA to EN), music, and history. Experience with translating and subtitling short and feature-length films, and lyrics for major Japanese musicians. Hobbies and interests include choral singing, playing taiko (Japanese drums), films and dramas, research on Japanese-American WWII history, traveling throughout Asia, Eisaa (Okinawan dance and taiko), and horseback riding.
I manage complex linguistic validation projects (so far, up to approximately 60 languages at a time) in both paper and eCOA formats while maintaining positive relations with linguists and clients from major pharmaceutical companies and research organizations.

I am very grateful to everyone at Toyo Gakuen for a wonderful two and a half years. Thank you! ------ Formerly in charge of 9-10 classes, including required English classes for first and second year students, and an upper-level Academic Learning/Professional Skills course (2nd-year students). Also a co-host for weekly Virtual English (Conversation) Lounge. Occasionally did presentations on various cultural topics as well as participated in online English events with prospective students. Went back to teaching face-to-face after almost a year and a half teaching online. Proficient in Microsoft Teams.
