Already during my school years I started to work in a forwarding agency (in 1996). I continued this activity during my law studies. I then completed my training as a forwarding agent in parallel and successfully passed my first state exam (2002 and 2004, respectively). In total, I worked for almost eight years as a forwarding agent in areas as diverse as the warehouse, dispataching and accounting. The practical experience I gained in the process still helps me and my clients today. After that, I completed my legal clerkship with stations at a forwarding association and in the human resources department of a large logistics service provider. I have been working as a lawyer since 2007. After starting my career at KPMG, I moved to Arnecke Siebold in Frankfurt at the beginning of 2008. In 2010, I was awarded the title of specialist lawyer for transport and forwarding law due to the particular theoretical knowledge and practical experience. I have successfully completed the specialist lawyer course for insurance law. The main focus of my work is the defense of claims for damages in and out of court, the execution of recourse proceedings and the assertion of freight claims. In addition, I represent clients in dealings with authorities such as customs, the BALM, LBA, police, criminal prosecutor etc. In addition, I advise clients on larger logistics projects, starting with the invitation to tender, in the review and drafting of contracts and in the preparation of general terms and conditions.
I am representing clients in and out of court in various matters related to transportation, forwarding and logistics. Due to my previous work as a forwarding merchant I have practical experience in the day-to-day business of a forwarding agency.
