Jefferson County, Tennessee, United States
I am a hard working and loyal employee, who takes pride in going above and beyond what is needed. I love working with my community and local media as a Public Information Officer. My objectives continue to be; working hard, being prepared for anything, and being able to take pride in every task I complete.
As the Public Information Officer for the Hamblen County Sheriff's Office I relay vital information to the public via local news networks and social media. I implemented the department's first Facebook page which has exceeded expectations in community relations and support. As the PIO I have maintained a presence in local media regarding local crimes and news of interest to the public.
As the Criminal/Civil Warrants Officer I process and disseminate criminal warrants and civil summons, subpoenas, levies and garnishments. I also assist the civil process server with following procedures of law and policy. I interact daily with Detectives, Police Officers, Lawyers and Clerks relaying information and paperwork to the appropriate personnel so that arrests can be made and the judicial proceedings may be begun.
As a Corrections Officer in the Hamblen County Jail I ensured inmate safety through constant monitering and interactions within the facility. I performed booking procedures for newly arrived inmates as well as processing court rulings for inmates currently housed. It was my responsibility to perform hourly cell checks, feed all inmates within my area, monitor all at risk inmates such as diabetics and those with mental health conditions. As a corrections officer I learned how to maintain a calm demeanor during stressful events,as well as how to earn and keep the respect of all inmates and employees.
