Participate in rates negotiations for all logistics related services. Prepare and circulate a four-week shipping forecast to shipping lines, logistics providers, sales offices and clearing and forwarding agents. Measure performances of shipping lines, Contracted transporter and C&F agents. In charge of logging in credentials for James Finlay Kenya for Statutory and regulatory bodies namely AFA Tea Directorate Portal and Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI). Drive total compliance to Health & Safety systems, policies throughout the team having been appointed as Health & Safety Committee and Food Safety Management Systems Lead Auditor. Spearhead Continuous Improvements/World Class Operation programs and implement all the principles therein having been appointed as teamwork champion. Supplier Engagement & Audits which has enabled good working relationship enhancing better performance. Monitoring compliance on statutory regulations in relation to import & Export requirement

• Ensure proper adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and SOP's • Document SOPs that assist in maintenance of the food safety system Documentation of food safety team meetings and follow up implementation • Ensure that the food safety management system is being properly maintained and advise the QAM/FSMS team leader on required updates for the system • Ensure product classification is strictly adhered to so that only released products enter the food chain while held and blocked products remain under the control of the factory. • Verification of all CCP's to ensure conformance on a daily basis and if deviations are observed, raise the alarm of potentially unsafe food and ensure all critical records for assurance of safe foods are maintained at all times. • Training of staff on hygiene and Food safety • Participate in food safety meetings • Check the effectiveness of the pest control measures on a daily basis and recommend any changes to FSMS team leader/QAM • Ensure adherence to proper hygiene procedures such as hand washing and sanitization Check daily compliance to proper use of PPEs in the Factory especially high-risk areas Assist in carrying out investigations and report all issues pertaining FSMS • Assist in carrying out internal audits to check conformance to all FSMS requirements Ensure internal audits are carried out to check conformance to all FSMS requirements • Ensure hygiene training is done for all new personnel including seasonal.

(ISO 22000:2005 & ISO(TS 22002-1) • Supervision of all lab staff to ensure all external & internal analysis are done on time. • Ensure that routine calibration of lab equipment is done as per schedule. • Ensure certificates of analysis are prepared and released on time. • Maintain compliance with legal and company policies on GMP, Environment, Health and Safety guidelines. • Implement and maintain corrective and preventive maintenance programs for lab equipment. • Coordinate effluent analysis and report to QC any non-conformance to ensure corrective actions are taken to meet regulatory requirements. • Participate in Final product release as key member of factory tea tasting panel.
