Duits is meer dan der - die - das en mijn leerlingen weten dat. Communicatie staat in mijn lessen centraal, grammatica is middel en nooit doel. Met veel plezier ben ik docent aan leerlingen in de onderbouw Havo VWO. Daarnaast geef ik kunsttheorie aan leerlingen in de bovenbouw Havo VWO.
Wanneer dat wat jou drijft het vuur aanwakkert bij anderen, dat maakt het vak Kunst Algemeen voor mij de moeite waard. Ik begeleid leerlingen in de bovenbouw havo-vwo naar hun eindexamen, waarbij ik tegelijkertijd mijn liefde voor en kennis van kunst met hen mag delen.
Werkzaam als docent Duits aan onderbouwklassen Havo, VWO en Gymnasium, in het bijzonder aan leerlingen in het tweetalig onderwijs. Mijn kracht als docent ligt in het motiveren van leerlingen voor het vak Duits (actualiteit-muziek-films) en het inzetten op individuele leerroutes van leerlingen (gedifferentieerde instructie, verwerking en toetsing). Leerlingen respecteren mij als docent omdat ik hen serieus neem.
As an art teacher I introduce young people (upper level HAVO/VWO) to the wonderful world of art. Art is an excellent tool to stimulate the imagination, while at the same time it's an ideal means for implementing critical and creative thinking skills. As a teacher I would describe myself as a coach, open and unbiased to all students. I possess the necessary skills and experience to offer subject-matter to which students can relate in their own way. My job offers me the opportunity to work with young people, which I find very rewarding.
Next to being a teacher I was privileged to work as a guide for the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands. This job allowed me to share my passion for nature, history and culture with other people in a unique and wonderful environment.
As keeper of the collection it was my responsibility to share information and knowledge with different stakeholders. Spreading knowledge through different media (publications, symposia, exhibitions) or giving information in one-on-one contact with researchers and the general public.
