• Project Lead/Manager for development, planning, implementation, and certification of Legacy Airbus FMS Projects A340 L10, A320 MVP, A310 VNAV Upgrade. • Conducted S/W validation and verification certification audits with Airbus and the DGAC/JAA, FAA regulatory agencies. Presented program status and financial reporting to upper management of the FMS Product Line. • Successfully led a Legacy A300/A310 FMS VNAV Upgrade Program Team in the development and certification of a new FMS S/W module for RNAV non-precision approach capability down to 250 feet MDA. • Supervised primary program interface with Airbus, FedEx, DGAC, BOCA, and FAA for guidance and implementation. • Provided team technical assistance for airline crew flight training, simulator implementation, and implementation of this particular enhancement for the airline training and aircraft modification accomplishment. • Responsible for all aspects of managing seven direct reports. • Interface with multiple Honeywell departments: Integration, Publications, Mod Board (Service Bulletins), Contracts, Finance, Program Management, Hardware, Valfac (simulators), Airbus Systems Team, and various software Teams. • Received FedEx Bravo Zulu Award for recognition of superior performance, customer support, and program success. (The Bravo Zulu recognizes Outstanding Customer Satisfaction, and is normally not awarded outside of the FedEx corporate organization. Received similar award from Airbus at dinner honoring teams efforts. As a result our team was the focus of a Honeywell “Partnership Knows No Limits” story on the division website.
• Responsible for responding to customer issues, inquiries, in-service problem reports, and discussions regarding potential new projects. • Responsible for engineering manpower estimates and budgetary quotes for all new Legacy FMS projects. • Coordinated weekly team meetings and technical teleconferences with Airbus France, Thales Avionics, Honeywell Toulouse, and Honeywell Customer Support. • Participated in management teleconferences with customers, provided bi-weekly status reports and stakeholder status reporting on program progress, development status, and identifying any customer obstacles and coordinated team responses.
