I am an Educational Consultant, Learning Experience Designer, and Autism Advocate with over 20 years of experience supporting schools, educators, and families in building learning environments that are inclusive, culturally responsive, and rooted in real life. I am the founder of Carmen Singleton Educational Consulting, where I partner with districts, organizations, and educators to design curriculum, professional learning, and systems that center students who are too often overlooked. My work blends instructional design, equity-driven practice, and practical implementation, always grounded in what actually works in classrooms. Earlier in my career, I served as a Supervisor of Staff Development for a network of 50 schools, leading large-scale professional learning, coaching educators, and supporting curriculum implementation across diverse communities. That experience shaped my belief that inclusion is not a program. It is a practice that requires training, structure, and sustained support. Today, my work is intentionally expanding into autism advocacy and neurodiversity-informed education. As a parent of a child with autism, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work with schools, organizations, and families. I focus on improving how systems support autistic students, increasing the quality and representation of instructional materials, and helping educators move beyond awareness toward meaningful, actionable change. I am also developing creative, family-centered education tools that blend storytelling, design, and advocacy to support neurodiverse learners and the adults who support them. My mission is to bridge classrooms, families, and culture so autistic and neurodiverse learners are not just included, but understood, supported, and positioned to thrive. If you are committed to inclusive education, autism advocacy, or rethinking how schools support neurodiverse learners, let’s connect.
As the founder and lead consultant of Carmen Singleton Educational Consulting LLC, I partner with schools, districts, and educational organizations to design, implement, and evaluate high-impact learning experiences rooted in equity, inclusion, and real-world relevance. My work sits at the intersection of curriculum design, professional learning, and systems-level implementation. I support educators in moving from vision to practice by developing instructional models, tools, and training that strengthen teacher confidence and improve student outcomes. Since launching my firm, I have led and contributed to large-scale curriculum development, professional learning initiatives, and family engagement efforts across multiple states. My areas of focus include Project-Based Learning, culturally responsive pedagogy, and inclusive instructional design. A growing emphasis of my work centers on neurodiversity-informed education and autism advocacy. I support schools and organizations in improving how autistic and neurodiverse students are represented, supported, and taught through stronger instructional materials, clearer systems, and more intentional educator training. My approach is practical, honest, and grounded in classroom realities. The goal is not performative inclusion, but learning environments where diverse and neurodiverse students are meaningfully supported and positioned to thrive.
