I have recently rejoined education as a public school art teacher, after many years exploring other careers including senior leadership in tech / customer service at Etsy, Inc. and other roles in enablement, marketing, and corporate events. My dynamic path reflects my deep commitment to evolving personal values and an ability to embrace change in the pursuit of impactful and purpose-driven work.
I work to create a welcoming environment for all learners and artists in grades 7-12, aligning with NYS Visual Arts Standards to develop a curriculum that is rooted in Project-Based Learning (PBL). As Communications Specialist, I am also responsible for updating the district's internet presence to ensure important information is available and school success is celebrated & shared with the community.
In various roles, including Director of Enablement and Senior Manager of Buyer Experience & Operations, I built and scaled teams to support Etsy customers throughout their buying and selling journey.
Created and implemented onboarding processes for new hires and served as a 24/7 production site HRBP, during a brief hiatus from Etsy (see above). Company name obscured; further details available upon request.
Managed core administrative operations including payroll, accounting, employee records, hiring, training, and compliance, while also supporting marketing and public relations initiatives.
Supported a 5th grade classroom at Neil Hellman School, working closely with special needs students to help develop social-emotional functioning and success in academics.
