I am a strategic and operational leader with over 20 years of experience in the banking and consulting sectors. I currently serve as Chief of Staff for the Asia Region at Lombard Odier and am a member of the Asia Executive Committee, where I partner with the Asia CEO and senior leadership to develop, implement, and drive strategic initiatives across our Private Client and Asset Management businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. I have a proven track record of delivering business transformation, new product development, and regulatory compliance projects across different markets and functions. I draw on my MBA from INSEAD and my consulting experience at McKinsey to provide holistic and transversal solutions that create value for the bank and its clients. I partner with our Asia CEO and senior leadership to develop, implement, and monitor strategic initiatives in our Asia Private Client and Asset Management businesses in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. As a member of the Executive Committee I ensure efficient operational activities and collaboration across support functions.
Headed the Global COO Office which was responsible for the international governance of our 17 foreign offices. I supported the operationalization of local business strategies, guaranteed alignment on key business processes and tools with company standards, and served as the gateway for the business into the head office.
Headed the Business Transformation Team which had as a mandate the delivery of the “Change the Bank” Project Portfolio. I enabled Lombard Odier by realizing revenue initiatives, creating efficiencies, mitigating risks and complying with regulations. “Change the Bank” activities included the digitalization of key banking processes, launch of new products, new locations, and new services. I delivered on the mandate through a team of project managers that worked with the Front, IT and support functions on transversal and holistic solutions.
Responsible for the Iberian team, managing a portfolio of CHF5.2bn of Assets Under Management and serving Family Offices and Corporate Clients across their wealth spectrum: Financial, Corporate Advisory (Private Equity and Venture Capital Investments) and Real Estate Advisory. In addition to my P&L responsibilities, I was also responsible for the Geneva location of IWM European businesses. I supervised risk controls, drove efficiency and represented local businesses vis a vis internal and external stakeholders
Project managed the successful cross-border merger of Credit Suisse France with Credit Suisse Luxembourg in 2014 and subsequently built up the capabilities of Credit Suisse Luxembourg in preparation for the migration of clients from the local booking center in France to Luxembourg. Redefined the local presence of Credit Suisse in Portugal in 2012, by closing the local Rep Office and setting up a Greenfield Lisbon Advisory Branch. Amongst my responsibilities was the overall project management including financial modeling, definition of the business plan, and obtainment of regulatory approval.
Developed a domicile strategy for the Markets under my responsibility, which redefined their organization based on specific client domicile and segment. As part of this reorganization, a new Advisory and Sales function was created with market specific specialists and a three-year business plan was defined. Developed and piloted the Bank wide usage of tablet computer technology (iPad) in client meetings to deliver impact, innovation and greater sales management control. Developed a new investment mandate offering with innovative products, pricing schemes, and marketing campaign.
OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS Designed and implemented the creation of a cross functional work plan for a top Portuguese Investment Bank composed of a team of different product specialists who conjointly analyzed clients and identified cross-selling opportunities. As a result of this initiative net new business worth €37m was achieved in six months. GREENFIELD STARTUP Coordinated a multidivisional team that launched the Greenfield start-up of operations in Cyprus, Ukraine and China for an Aviation Ground Handling Company. The main tasks included the identification of the opportunity, the business case analysis, the tender participation, the negotiations with local partners, the client’s internal approval process and the successful implementation of the operations. All three start-ups were successful and contributed to the bottom-line M&A COORDINATION Managed the acquisition of target companies in Germany and the US for an Aviation Security Company including the organization of the due diligence processes, the offer formulation and the negotiations of the share purchase agreement. These acquisitions and the synergies they have generated have enabled the client to considerably expand the business. Participated in the sale process of a Cargo Company in the Philippines and Peru which included setting up data rooms, negotiating the reps and warranties and price adjustment mechanisms of the sale and the optimizing of the sale structure to minimize the tax impact and thus maximizing the value generated to invest in new businesses.
CORPORATE FINANCE Incorporated the bank as an analyst directly from University. As part of the Graduate Recruitment Program I was exposed to different areas of the bank on an eight-month rotational program, finally having settled on the Iberian coverage desk.
