Amplia experiencia docente e investigadora en diversos campos de la Psicología Social (especialmente en Psicología del Trabajo y de las Organizaciones y Psicología de los Grupos), dirección de proyectos y equipos de investigación nacionales e internacionales y gestión universitaria. Defensor Universitario (07/2003-07/2014) y Director de la Escuela de Másteres Oficiales (07/2015-06/2018) de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Carlos received his PhD in Psychology (Social Psychology) in 1997 and his degree in Psychology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Between 1990 and 1997 he was associate professor at the Escuela Social de Madrid (1990-1994) and the Centro de Estudios Superiores Sociales y Jurídicos “Ramón Carande” (linked to the Universidad Complutense de Madrid) (1994-1998). From 1998 to 2016 he was senior lecturer of Social Psychology at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid), and member of the Social Sciences Department and Department of Medicine and Surgery, Psychology, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Immunology and Medical Microbiology, Nursing, and Stomatology, at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Since November 2016 he is Professor of Social Psychology at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Psicología del Trabajo y de las Organizaciones y Psicología de los Grupos / Work and Organizational Psychology & Group Psychology
Equipo de investigación multidisciplinar dedicado a la Investigación en Psicología del Trabajo y de las Organizaciones y Social (in-PSITRO/SOC), tanto de carácter básica como aplicada. Since 2002 he coordinates the Research Group IN-PSITRO/SOC (Research in Work and Organizational Psychology and Social Psychology), along with other members of Social Psychology Unit of the Department of Psychology. His research has been mainly focused on psychological contract and exchange relationships in organizations (commitment, trust and perceived organizational support), membership and temporal matters in work teams, early retirement, bridge employment and psychological well-being, and conflict resolution and mediation in higher education. He has conducted several research projects granted and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Agency of Education and Science of Madrid Regional Government. Also he is member of research teams composed by researches of Spanish Universities (Autónoma de Madrid, Carlos III de Madrid, Complutense de Madrid, Nacional de Educación a Distancia, País Vasco, Almería, etc.) and European Universities (Università di Bologna, Italy, and Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal). In addition, he has conducted several research projects and studies funded by public institutions as well as private organizations.
INNOGROUP is a multidisciplinary team integrated by eight groups of university researchers (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos e Instituto de Empresa) with a commond ground: the study of innovation, its determing features and how it results in managerial development.
