Working on Vertex AI Training service. Working on enabling our customers to use the latest accelerators GPU and TPU on our platform without them having to worry about the infrastructure.
• Designed and implemented a wrapper package in Python which reused code from a Scala library, which added Python as an option to run Spark jobs. • Enabled partner teams to use Python as their driver code for their big data Spark jobs, without the need of rewriting the Scala library in Python. • Reduced the time partners needed to run Spark jobs, eliminated the need to compile their Scala job projects, which would take between 3 and 8 minutes.
• Helped deliver the Data Structures course, which was taught in Python. • Held office hours to help students with their in-class, homework, and lab assignments. • Led review sessions to prepare students for exams.
