TE’s Industrial Business Unit is the worldwide leader in industrial automation and electrification connectors, sensors and electromechanical devices with $1.3B revenues, 7000 employees and 20 plants, commercial offices and R&D centers around the globe. Since the beginning of my assignment I have reshaped the BU strategy positioning it for growth, rebuilt my leadership team to execute the vision, improved profitability thanks to cost adjustments and growth, improved the credibility and intimacy with the major customers (which has led to market share growth) and integrated two recent acquisitions while scouting for more of them.
In the almost 6 years as the leader of Motion Technologies, the largest of the 3 businesses of ITT, representing approximately 50% of ITT revenues. I have improved margins to record heights, grown revenues from $1.2B to $1.5B despite adverse markets, spearheaded two acquisitions and turned them around achieving a double-digit EBIT margin improvement. I also revamped the complete leadership team of the business both promoting from inside and hiring from outside, always keeping people empowerment, sustainability and equity on the top table.
Overall leadership of EMEA footprint of Eaton's Vehicle Group focusing on 1. safety 2. operations excellence, new program wins, new program launches and financial performance 3. definition and execution of a long term strategic plan based on optimizing costs and footprint and developing new business to drive growth
Leading Eaton's Engine Air Management Business on a global basis, a newly formed $1.2B revenues Eaton division, worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced products aimed at managing the gas exchange in engines for Automotive and Commercial Vehicle customers. Main achievements include the revamping of a declining product in the portfolio and the design and approval of a new footprint for a mature product line.
Leading Eaton's Global Valvetrain Business, a worldwide leading supplier of advanced and highly engineered components for internal combustion engines for the global Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry. Main achievements include the start up of new operations in Asia Pacific and the launch of new innovative products in the developed economies that resulted in a 30% revenue growth during my tenure and in further growth in the following years.
Continuous improvement projects execution and management in manufacturing operations (production, quality, supply chain). Led several complete lean transformation projects and many kaizen events in automotive and household appliances companies.
