• French Medical Doctor (General Practitioner, family medicine) with specialization in tropical diseases • 19 years of post-residency clinical experience in various positions including Emergency Units, Paediatrics, Family Care, Infectious Diseases and HIV/AIDS Units all over the world •Experience with MSF (Doctors without borders) and UNICEF (health &nutrition specialist) in Amman, Jordan •Two and a half years of African medical experience in Dakar, Senegal •Expertise in treating HIV/AIDS patients in Switzerland and Senegal •Experience in first aid training, vaccination campaigns, and program management in refugee camps . 9 years of clinical experience in Vanuatu, South Pacific (family medicine, minor emergencies, medevac organization)

• Contribute to UNICEF’s health and nutrition cluster/sector response strategy for syrian refugees in Jordan • Contribute to the development of a joint communication strategy Health, Nutrition and WASH in collaboration with C4D and follow up the implementation on the field with UNICEF partners (ex: Health awareness and Hygiene promotion campaign in camp settings) • Participate in internal and external coordination mechanisms for health and nutrition emergency preparedness/response, multisectoral and key sectors (ex: implementation of measles/polio vaccination campaigns and EPI sites in camp settings) • Provide technical support to UNICEF and partners (sharing relevant standards, protocols, guidelines and training materials for Health in emergencies) • Support the capacity building of country office and partners for coordination, assessments, including development of customized assessment tools, data collection, and strategies to target the top cause of illness and death, community-based interventions, control of epidemic diseases etc. (ex: design and supervision of maternal and neonatal services assessment in camps) • Assist and monitor progress of the health and nutrition response and adjust accordingly.
• Ensure the continuity and coherence of the hospital’s medical, paramedical and psychosocial activities, and check that the different departments function properly in the hospital and OPD • Act as a liaison/arbitration point between the different parties working in the wards (surgeons, anaesthetists, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychosocial team members) • Clinical responsibilities : - Organisation and supervision of the medical care offered to patients - Ensure the quality, relevance and appropriateness of medical prescriptions, including diagnostic tests requested - Organization of patient transfers or referrals to other hospitals and ensure their follow-up • Ensure the prevention and control of nosocomial infections • Human ressources management : - Definition of the posts required in accordance with the needs (staff numbers and profiles) and developing or updating job descriptions for medical staff. - Participation in the recruitment (defining job profiles, descriptions and criteria, interviews, etc.) and selection of staff.
