Hello! I'm Caraline Miller, a Project Manager for Epic Systems with a passion for data analysis and visualization. With experience with data programs such as Python, Tableau, R, and Stata, I enjoy exploring data to better understand the world around me. When it comes to work, I pride myself on two key values I follow, hard work and communication. Individually, I strive to be the best I can be by challenging myself to new tasks to grow and develop my skills and abilities. Communication is key when it comes to working collaboratively. I strive to create a cohesive environment where common expectations can be formed and agreed upon. In my spare time, I love to express myself creatively through photography and writing. I'm also an avid Badgers athletics fan.
I produce Wisconsin Wrestling and Softball videoboard content. Part of the requirements for this position includes creating in game content such as features, sponsors, and intro and hype videos. I manage and train a crew of professionals in order to have successful shows.
UW Video within the UW Athletics Department works to provide a live feed and recordings for Badger sporting events. I work various positions to assist with aspects of live production, such as replay operator, camera, technical director, and director. To execute this position, I have to work effectively with a team, communicate, and use technical knowledge within the field of videography and production.
ESA is a club which helps students learn about what a career in economics could be like and provides resources to help them succeed. I am on the ESA board as the Career Trips Chair where I help organize and create networking trips for club members. I work with companies and alumni to create daily itineraries for students to network and experience what a job beyond college could be like.
The J.P. Morgan private bank addresses the financial needs of high net worth individuals and families in order to help them achieve their lifetime goals. In this role, I assisted bankers and analysts with analytics to better understand client investment and financial performance. The analysis involved running programs to understand allocation and where portfolios underperformed in order for recommendations to be made. To work effectively in this role, I had to be extremely detail oriented and always ready to learn. I had to research strategies to understand how J.P. Morgan recommends strategies and why a client may or many not be suited for one.
The Grainger Institute for Engineering with the University of Wisconsin-Madison works to support Engineering staff through assisting with grant proposals and executing and marketing events. I work with event planning and marketing. I create marketing plans based off department metrics and work to execute events effectively. To work this position, I must work with data metrics to understand the target market. I then work with event organizers to ensure an event to go smoothly.
